I love GRUB, fixes all my problems with booting OSX, WIN7, XP, and Ubuntu. A great many of my frustrations are fixed with Ubuntu, but others are not. I'm used to audio and video in windows, for one. Theme support is much cooler than in windows - so here's some themes. Just need to figure out another "big" aspect of Linux/UNIX/Ubuntu. Engines... I just get sick of the local network not coming up or PC's missing. I hope UNIX would do a better job at keeping track. Linux's directory structure priming myself on the etc, bin, lib, usr type stuff. I use nslookup and ifconfig to compare DNS versus external IP's and if different update. Also, my script pings google and if no reply reconnects. Not sure I did the reconnect right - I just did ifconfig ppp0 down. It comes back up and things are well, I suppose. Some frustration with shell scripting since I'm used to bash, but all worked out well for now.

Now I am curious to do some experimenting. An Introduction to Cairo with Python another interest I have relating to Python. I have messed with cairo once with autohotkey, I think. Pretty cool since I have heard firefox 3 uses Cairo.
